Blue Water Home Care & Hospice (BWHCH) leadership honors staff and volunteers quarterly through the ‘Shining Star’ program, recognizing the extras they do for each other, our patients, and the community.
Let’s get to know Rob!
Rob is a physical therapist assistant in the Home Health Division at BWHCH. He has been with the organization since May 2025.
What are your job duties?
As a PTA, I instruct and educate on home exercise programs with proper progression. Functional mobility training such as transfers and gait. I facilitate improvements in strength endurance and balance, pain management, and monitor and assess vital signs. I also evaluate the patient’s home environment for safety and fall prevention.
What was the draw to work at BWHCH?
I knew it was a local and well-established home health agency with decades of experience.
What is your favorite part of the day (doesn’t have to be work related)?
My morning ritual/routine prior to work. I perform daily exercises and practices to improve myself mentally, physically, and spiritually. Then I congregate with my family before leaving for work for the day.
Why did you choose this type of work?
I wanted to help others improve their mobility and maintain independence with activities of daily living.
Upon learning of this honor, Rob said “thank you for the recognition, I really appreciate it”.
Tracy recognized Rob as a Shining Star!
Rob is recognized by patients for his caring approach, encouragement to recover, and therapy sessions that maximize the patient’s potential. He has a calm demeanor which reflects positively to patients and fellow co-workers. He accepts challenging cases and has served the outreaches of our area.
