Each year VNA & Blue Water Hospice hosts the River Run in Marysville Park. Funds raised benefit charity care at the agency, ensuring all patients receive care, regardless of their financial standing.
The first run was held in 1985 and has become one of the premiere runs in the Blue Water Area. The River Run is held on the first Saturday in June. This year marks the 38th run – due to COVID, the event was cancelled in 2020 and 2021.
This year was another beautiful morning with simply perfect weather for a run along the St. Clair River. More than 230 individuals participated in the run or walk. It takes a village… we are grateful for the more than 75 volunteers who helped set up, direct traffic, set up signs, clean-up, cheer on participants and so much more!
Thank you to the staff who gave their Saturday to help, to the participants who made this event a success, to the many volunteers, and to our sponsors. It is because of all of you that we cancontinue to provide charity care for our community.
