Yesterday, staff from Advia Credit Union came to the Blue Water Hospice Home ready to work. VNA & Blue Water Hospice welcomed 11 Advia employees as they volunteered their time and weeded around the Tom Lock Observatory. While most of the volunteers were from the Blue Water Area, they persuaded co-workers from Kalamazoo, Mattawan, and Portage to help as well!
Advia encourages staff to volunteer with local non-profits. VNA & Blue Water Hospice leadership and staff are extremely grateful for their assistance. “The community is so giving and we appreciate their help to keep these grounds beautiful for our hospice patients,” says Angela DeLaere, President & CEO, VNA & Blue Water Hospice.
If you would like to help keep the Blue Water Hospice Home gardens beautiful, the Gardening Angels Club is always looking for extra thumbs…they don’t necessarily need to be ‘green’! Learn more at https://bwhch.org/garden/.
