Blue Water Home Care & Hospice (BWHCH) leadership honors staff and volunteers quarterly through the ‘Shining Star’ program, recognizing the extras they do for each other, our patients, and the community.
Let’s get to know Raquel!
Raquel just recently celebrated one year with BWHCH! She is a provider in the Private Duty Home Care Division.
What attracted you to work at BWHCH?
I heard about this position through a family member. They thought I’d be great for it. I was in retail and loved my customers, however, after being a caregiver for my grandma, I knew this was for me. After being the primary caregiver for Grandma, I just knew I was made for some work like that. I’ve loved it since the moment I started at BWHCH.
Janet recognized Raquel as a Shining Star!
In her first six months, Raquel was moved to a preceptor position, due to her outstanding care, compassion and her overall demeanor to clients. This is her first place of employment being a caregiver. She looks at all feedback whether negative or positive as a learning situation. Raquel steps up to help co-workers whenever needed.
Raquel is what a caregiver is supposed to be – compassionate & caring and listens to her patients or clients – all of whom have positive things to say about her!
Raquel is an asset to Private Duty at BWHCH.
